Wednesday, February 15: 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Our February meeting will be on Wednesday the 15th, 7:00 p.m., at Day's Funeral Home. The date is changed from Tuesday for this month only because of Valentine's Day. For newcomers (welcome!), Day's is on the south side of East 3rd St., just east of Smith Road. Drive all the way to the rear parking lot. We meet in the Reception Room, which is just off that back lot.

If you have images you'd like to share, you can bring them as prints, or as digital files on a flash drive or cd. If as prints, they need to be at least 8x10. If as digital files, they should be JPEG's, in sRGB color space (best for projection), and 600-800 DPI. Please put all your images in one folder labeled with your name. If you would like them shown in a certain order, number them accordingly.

You can bring up to six images, but this number can be expanded if you would like to show originals or alternate versions of any or all of the images.

If you don't have anything you want to share at the moment, no problem; just bring yourselves, your ideas and perceptions.

We don't have a Fireside Chat scheduled for this meeting; however, if someone would like to volunteer, that will be great.

Creative Techniques

The Creative Techniques Focus Group explores artistic and technical ways to expand "straight" photography. Collage, multiple exposure, stereoptic images, and Photoshop wizardry are a few of the interests of members. Essentially, anything goes. If you tend toward the far out, you may enjoy this group.

We meet on the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00-9:00 p.m., in the Reception Room at the rear of Day Funeral Home on East 3rd St. At the meetings we share recent work in digital and print formats, as well as tips on techniques, software, and hardware.
