Macro Focus Group Field Trip: Garfield Park Conservatory (Indianapolis) Annual Orchid Show
To carpool, meet at the back of the Kroger parking lot on N. Kinser Pike, It takes about an hour to get to Garfield Park, which is at 2505 Conservatory Drive. The annual orchid show is a wonderful photo opportunity. Many of the orchids are displayed against a black backdrop, which, along with the extraordinary colors and shapes, makes for dramatic photographs. Entry fee is $4.00 per person. Tripods are not allowed in the conservatory. We'll have lunch afterward, or if you prefer and the weather is good, a picnic lunch in the garden outside the conservatory is a possibility.
