The Photo Venture Camera Club in Indianapolis has invited members of the BPC to join them on a photo op at the Tarkington Theater in Carmel, Indiana. We are going to photograph the dance rehearsal for “Salem” for the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre the day before their scheduled performance.

There is a parking garage off 3 SW that connects to the Tarkington Theater. We will meet at 6:00 pm at the theater to set up our camera equipment. The rehearsal starts at 6:30. Don't be late because the lights go off at 6:30, after which no one will be admitted until intermission.

Helpful Hints:

• Don't sit in the first rows because your head will be in the way of other photographers setting behind you. Don't sit in front of another photographer for the same reason. Sit over 2 seats from someone else.

• When you set up your tripod, have two legs parallel to seat and extend the forward leg so that it goes behind the seat in front of you and down one level. Use the live view on your camera. Use your fastest lens. Shoot continuous to get the best dance moves. Shoot the slowest frame rate of 5 frames per second. Use AUTO-ISO. Your iso will be extremely high so you will need to denoise all of your photos.
